Channing Tatum Taking a Break From Acting Next Year. This has been a big  year for Channing Tatum, with five movies hitting the big screen and getting the honor of Sexiest Man Alive. Now the Magic Mike star is ready for a break.



Channing told Entertainment Weekly he wants to take a break from acting in 2013, it's not the end of his career. He plans on spending his time off-camera behind the camera! "By the end of next year
 they  are going to shut things down and write the first thing that we're going to direct,"  he explains.
