Justin Bieber And Katy Perry Banned From The UK

Katy Perry and Justin Bieber have been issued the walk of shame from the UK thanks to their 'misleading' Proactiv campaigns. Katy Perry and Justin Bieber's Proactiv campaigns have been banned from the UK after an anonymous hater whistleblower alerted the Advertising Standards Authority to their misleading claims.

That means frustrated TV fans can wave goodbye to the pop stars and their flawless faces, not to mention "America's # 1 selling acne treatment system". The ASA explained that the ads were unsuitable for UK audiences as the UK version of Proactiv contains a completely different active ingredient to that of the US product: "We noted the signed statements, which related to only five of the seven testimonials, said the celebrities had each used the UK formulation of the product for a period of only several weeks, between one and three years before the ads appeared." "The ads were targeted at a UK audience and that the UK Proactiv products had a different active ingredient to the US version." "In that context, we therefore considered the claims of continued use had not been substantiated . We concluded that the ads were misleading

. The ads must not appear again in their current form. We told Gunthy-Renker UK to ensure endorsements and testimonials in future ads related to the product being advertised." Hmm, so that's a big fat no to Katy Perry and Justin Bieber. Guess they'll have to take their zit-free faces elsewhere...
